Brave

Do you ever come across a song that hits you exactly when you need it? I recently found the song “Brave” by Freedom Fry on the Spotify Playlist, “Good Vibes” – and once I really listened to the lyrics, I started to put it on repeat. Now I can’t remember what my life was like without it. :)

I posted the song below, and the lyrics. If you need a pump-up song (who doesn’t!?) you’re going to love it.

I don’t always feel brave. But this is the kind of song that reminds me of my own resilience and courage.

Once I realized my deep love for Brave, I looked up Freedom Fry and found out they are a married couple duo, Bruce Driscoll and Marie Seyrat. One French and one American (hence the name Freedom Fry). Their other music is AWESOME too.

The thing that caught my eye about Freedom Fry is that they have amazing covers of Linger (Cranberries), 1979 (Smashing Pumpkins) and Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana). When I saw this, I had a sneaking feeling that they must be exactly my same age (early 80’s babies). I just knew. Turns out my intuition was right, Marie was born just 3 days after me.
