Why I’m Becoming A Bulletproof Trained Coach
Inside My Weekend At Dave Asprey’s Bulletproof Biohacking Lab
It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with Bulletproof products and supplements. Why? Because I want to feel optimal and the Bulletproof stuff is all about taking your health — body and mind — to the next level. Enhancing life. Feeling the best you possibly can. WHY WOULDN’T I WANT THAT? Why wouldn’t you? Exactly.
I talk about Bulletproof products a lot because I use them personally and I love them. I also trust the quality of these products because the company cares a lot about quality, puts a ton of research into everything they do, and they’re constantly upgrading their offerings based on the latest biohacking research. Here are some of my favorites. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. :) Cheers to feeling optimal and ruling at life!
1) Activated Charcoal.
This is by far my favorite Bulletproof product. You can read my entire blog post on activated charcoal here, but in a nutshell, this supplement pulls toxins from your body — so if you eat questionable quality food, eat at restaurants, drink alcohol, drink low quality coffee, or generally feel negatively affected by what you’re putting into your body…this supplement can make you feel a huge deal better. Seriously. If you don’t believe me, check it out and try it for yourself.
2) Vanilla Collagen Protein Bars.
These are my protein bar of choice, hands down! I wrote about them in my blog 4 Protein Bars That Don’t Suck. They are delicious and taste like vanilla cookies, plus they are packed with healthy fats and collagen protein, which is great for your skin, hair, nails and joints. They are sweetened with stevia so have minimal impact on blood sugar compared to other protein bars out there. I travel with them and often eat them on flights to stay full and happy. :) Check them out here.
3) Collagen Powder.
Collagen powder is awesome. Have you ever heard about the benefits of making bone broth? You know how the collagen comes out of the bones into the broth and makes your skin glow, your hair and nails grow stronger, and your joints lubricated? Well guess what, making bone broth is also a very time consuming process. If you don’t have time to dedicate to bone broth making as a daily habit, collagen powder is your new best friend. This collagen is made from grass-fed pasture raised cows, it has no taste and dissolves in any liquid. I personally prefer to put it in my tea, morning and night. Voila. Easy peasy. It’s amazing. Check it out here..
4) Bulletproof Low-Toxin, Single-Origin Coffee
When I do drink coffee, it’s Bulletproof Coffee. Did you know that most of the negative effects you feel from coffee are actually coming from the toxins? Coffee is one of the most heavily pesticides crops out there, and if you’re drinking bad quality coffee it is absolutely affecting your performance, and can lead to fatigue and a weakened immune system. Gross. That’s why I like to have Bulletproof Coffee on hand. You can get it in whole bean form, or pre-ground if you’re not into grinding your own beans. Throw the ground coffee right into a french press and get your day started right! Also the perfect coffee to have around for house guests.
5) Brain Octane Oil (MCT Oil)
If you’re truly going to make Bulletproof Coffee or you’re embarking on a higher fat, lower carbohydrate diet…Brain Octane is what you’re looking for. The medium chain fatty acids are used quickly in the body for energy and enhances your mental function, vs. being stored as fat. This Brain Octane oil in particular is 18x more powerful than using coconut oil!! It’s great to add to smoothies and use in foods (try mixing a little bit into guacamole to make it super smooth! Game changer!) and it has no taste, so it just adds some nice extra healthy fats into your life. It can also help re-balance your gut bacteria, which is helpful for candida. I usually have a bottle of this stuff in my cabinet and I’ll break it out to put into a coffee or smoothie when I want a supercharging hit of healthy, energizing fats. Yeehaw!
