Hey baby birds!
Happy 2016 again. How long into January can we keep saying happy 2016? Maybe all year? :)
I wanted to write you guys today because I’m embarking on a new training program this year — the Bulletproof Coach Training Program! It starts this week – and I’m SUPER excited about it.
I’m already trained as a Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), where I graduated from in 2010.
IIN gave me a fantastic foundation for holistic health and wellness, and it helped me immensely in building the blog and business I have today, but it’s been 5 years since I graduated — and in that time I’ve gotten much more clear on what I’m passionate about, and what I want to learn about next. (Read my review of IIN here)
The 2 things I’m majorly interested in?
Energy and mood.
I personally feel very affected, energy and mood wise, by my food and lifestyle choices — and it’s one of the things I love experimenting with and learning about most. (That’s also why I created the Rapid Reset Cleanse, which is a cleanse that’s primarily geared towards energy and mood!)
The Bulletproof Coach Training program focuses mainly on energy, mood, happiness, human potential, and being in a state of high performance in body and mind. Yep, all things I geek out about on the regular. I’m so excited to be a student again. :)
I was first introduced to Dave Asprey’s Bulletproof brand a couple of years ago, as I was doing some research on higher fat/lower carb diets for some of my health coaching patients at Dr. Lipman’s office. I LOVE experimenting, and when I first heard the term “biohacking,“ I started doing tons of research. Of course, in this research, I dove into the Bulletproof blog, podcasts and book.
I was fascinated by all of it.
I really appreciate when people get hyper-focused on enhancing life as much as possible, and not settling for feeling mediocre. Anyone who takes this path and decides to do a ton of research and experimenting on themselves is someone I want to learn from. No matter their dietary preferences/theories, whether it’s paleo, raw vegan (like my friend David Wolfe), or whatever else, I think it’s super exciting when people are a little bit obsessive about experimenting and life-enhancing. That really gets my blood pumping.
Needless to say, I got on board with the Bulletproof philosophy of “upgrading your life.”
Once I started trying out the Bulletproof products and loving them, I became an affiliate for the brand (some of my favorite products are the activated charcoal and protein bars).
As a result of this affiliate partnership, I was invited on an incredible weekend retreat to Dave Asprey’s Bulletproof Biohacking Lab in Victoria, BC. IT WAS AWESOME. Read all about that here.
At the Bulletproof Biohacking Lab, I met Mark Atkinson, who is leading the Bulletproof Coach Training along with Dave. When he brought us through a mindfulness exercise (I wrote about it here), I felt so good and my mindset was so transformed from just a few key concepts, I knew I wanted to be part of the Bulletproof Coach training. I told Dave and Mark that weekend that I planned to take the training.
The training begins with a mindfulness course (it starts in 2 days!), because they say living in a state of presence IS what high performance is all about. Mark says high performance is about being able to inhabit the present moment in a way that responds perfectly to what’s being asked of you.
After the mindfulness training, there is 1 live weekend, and then a virtual course that lasts throughout most of the year.
Here’s a sample of what I’ll be learning about over the next year. I can’t wait to share more about it with you guys as I go along!!!
- Maximizing energy, happiness and performance
- The Bulletproof Life (focus on the Bulletproof Diet, ketogenic diets, intermittent fasting, supplements, physical activity, sleep, energy, stress, resilience, mindfulness, attention training, brain health, cognitive performance and more)
- Hacking Happiness
- The Psychology of Success
- And more…
There is a TON of detail included in the full curriculum, you can download it here to learn everything there is to know about the program. :)
There’s going to be a live training weekend in NYC in February as well, which I am obviously pumped about because I will be able to walk there. This training may be sold out already, because I was on a webinar tonight and they said there were only a couple of spots left. Hundreds of curious potential Bulletproof Coaches were on that webinar, so I’m thinking it’s sold out already. If that’s the case, have no fear, you can still join the London training.

P.S. — this isn’t all about the Bulletproof Diet or Bulletproof Coffee. They said you don’t even have to drink coffee to be a Bulletproof Coach. ;) It’s all about helping people find their state of high performance. SQUEAL!
Anyway, I just wanted to give you guys some insight into what I’ll be learning about this year. I am EXTREMELY PUMPED to be a student right now and I’m sure my mind will be blown many times over the course of this training. Stay tuned as I share tons of insights throughout the year related what at I’m learning about. I’m not sure if I’ll be doing 1-on-1 coaching or if I’ll be using the info I learn to create more online content, but I’ll keep you all posted here on the blog and my email list (sign up in the “subscribe” box at the top of the site).
Did you sign up to become a Bulletproof Coach too? If so, send me an email, you are my people!!! I’d love to connect and hope to meet you in NYC if you’ll be at that training weekend. :) jenny@healthycrush.com

This is AWESOME Jenny. You will love the course! The in person training was amazing. I’m also doing the coach training. Glad to have you aboard. The course work is decent, but it was the in person training with Dr Mark that really made a difference. Let us know how your in person training goes.

Watch out for Dave…
A lot of known health connoseurs called him out on his BS and he was unable to correctly object to them. Many podcasts on the subject. (i.e. mito-toxins)
No real data behind his claims, or at least not enough for me to support him.

Thanks. :) I am aware of the controversy and I have spoken to Dave about it directly. All I know is that being around a group of people who are interested in optimal health and enhancing energy, mood and physical performance — those are the people I want to be around and learn from, mycotoxins or no mycotoxins. ;) I’m very inspired and excited by learning all different methods of feeling great — which of course you can do without using any official Bulletproof products. It’s all about the mindset of the group – forward thinking and curious to learn more. Those are my people. :)

Hi Jenny!
I have been excited about the bulletproof diet for a while now and have been integrating it into my life. I enjoy the morning bulletproof coffee and buz I get from intermittent fasting. I too get fired up about healthy living and also want to connect with like minded people. I received an e-mail about the seminar training coming up and would love to hear about how it’s been going for you. I work at a naturopathic clinic where we sell Dave’s products and love love love the collagen protein bars, magical!
I look forward to hearing back!
Jessica
